Interest from the livestock sector points toward extending contact-free video AI animal care from pets to horses and farm animals

LIMPID, an AI company built for animal health, presented Kinfora, its integrated AI behavior analysis and precision nutrition platform, alongside Equinfora, its healthcare solution for horses, at Korea's largest agri-food startup expo.

The company exhibited at the 4th Agri-Food Tech Startup Expo (AFPRO 2026), held July 15 to 17 at COEX in Seoul, in a joint booth with the Korea Racing Authority. Hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and organized by the Korea Agency for Technology and Standards partners including NH Nonghyup Bank and COEX, AFPRO 2026 is the country's largest agri-food startup expo, drawing some 220 startups this year across smart agriculture, food tech, green bio, and pet tech.

LIMPID built its booth around Kinfora, a platform that joins an AI camera analyzing pet behavior around the clock with precision nutrition. Kinfora monitors an animal's condition on video, picks up signs of change, and carries them into a nutrition plan built on that individual's health data.

The event also marked the first public showing of Equinfora, a healthcare solution developed specifically for horses. Equinfora extends the AI video analytics healthcare technology LIMPID commercialized with the Korea Racing Authority in February 2026 to the wider horse industry. It analyzes CCTV footage inside stables in real time, detects unusual behavior associated with pain or stress, and sends remote alerts. The technology has been deployed in the stable of the champion racehorse Knicks Go, at LetsRun Park Seoul, and at the equine hospital of Jeju National University's College of Veterinary Medicine.

The expo also surfaced potential in cattle and swine. Visitors from the livestock and agriculture sector, including officials from the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, asked about field applications such as watching animals around the clock and alerting farms early when something is wrong, for instance an animal unable to stand for an extended period. LIMPID is considering extending the contact-free video AI healthcare it began with companion animals from horses into livestock, forming a broader animal care platform.

Ryunhwan Kwon, CTO of LIMPID, said, “Contact-free video AI that reads pet behavior in real time applies just as well to horses and to production animals such as cattle and pigs. We will extend the monitoring and precision nutrition technology we completed with Kinfora into Equinfora and livestock, building healthcare that notices an animal is unwell before a person does.”

LIMPID was co-founded in 2020 by veterinarians specializing in nutrition and internal medicine together with technology professionals, starting from the development of the world's first freeze-dried therapeutic diet. It operates Saladpet, Korea's leading pet food app; TrustyFood, a premium freeze-dried pet food brand; Dr.Trusty, the world's first freeze-dried therapeutic diet brand; and Kinfora, an integrated AI behavior analysis and precision nutrition platform. The company recorded KRW 2.5 billion in revenue in 2025 and, in April 2026, was named lead institution for a KRW 5.1 billion national research project under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to develop a multimodal AI precision nutrition platform.
