LIMPID brings its AI precision nutrition solution to the US, drawing on Dr.Tail's local data
Market analysis from a base of 700,000 US users to shape a localization strategy for Korean pet tech

LIMPID, an AI company built for animal health, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dr.Tail Inc., a pet healthcare startup, on entering the US companion animal healthcare market.

LIMPID said the partnership puts its US market strategy for the AI precision nutrition solution it is developing into motion.

At the center of the agreement is access to Dr.Tail's US market data and network. Dr.Tail serves more than 700,000 pet owners in the United States and has accumulated pet healthcare data from over 270,000 AI-assisted veterinary consultations.

The medical records and health management patterns Dr.Tail collects through its cloud platform are expected to provide important insight for localizing LIMPID's AI precision nutrition solution. On that basis, LIMPID plans to develop nutrition solutions matched to the needs of US pet owners.

The two companies will also cooperate on analyzing US pet healthcare trends and consumer behavior and on identifying local partners. Longer term, they plan to explore forms of collaboration that draw on each company's technology and services.

Heesu Kim, CEO of LIMPID, said, “Taking an AI precision nutrition solution into the United States requires a deep understanding of the local market. The healthcare data and market experience Dr.Tail has built up over five years in the US will let us set a more effective localization strategy.”

Daehwa Lee, CEO of Dr.Tail, said, “The US pet health data we hold is a useful asset for Korean pet tech companies entering the market. Through this partnership we want to help Korean pet tech expand in the US and create value on both sides.”
