LIMPID (formerly Rhinobox), which operates Korea's leading feed information app 'Saladpet', announced that it has been selected for the fifth cohort of 'DGB FIUM Lab', the fintech startup development program run by DGB Financial Group.

'DGB FIUM Lab' recruits startups in technology and service areas that can create synergy with DGB Financial Group. Launched in 2019 as the region's first fintech lab, it selected and supported 34 companies across four cohorts through 2022. Through partnership opportunities with DGB affiliates and a structured accelerating program, it has established itself as a leading startup development program in the region.

Startups selected for 'DGB FIUM Lab' receive partnership opportunities with DGB Financial Group affiliates, accelerating and investment introductions through the group's accelerator, investment review by Hi Investment Partners, free office and meeting space, residency and investment opportunities at D.CAMP, additional points when applying to Korea Credit Guarantee Fund startup programs, and recommendations for residency at Seoul Startup Hub.

LIMPID was selected on the strength of its palatability and allergy data and its veterinary nutrition technology, and will also work with DGB Life Insurance.

Saladpet, the data-driven feed app operated by LIMPID, was recognized for connecting companion animal health data and feed nutrition data with usable palatability and food allergy data. The 'Palatability Test Kit' in particular is the first DTC kit to assess an animal's palatability profile, turning feed palatability, an area that had never been quantified, into a database and giving the company a position in the pet food market.

Sangbeom Park, CEO of LIMPID, said, "As a company from Daegu, we are glad to work with DGB Financial Group. We will grow together so that pet food services can play their part as one pillar of the group's non-financial services."

LIMPID (formerly Rhinobox) changed its name from Rhinobox to LIMPID as it moved beyond a feed app toward a pet food technology company covering brands and premix solutions, strengthening its analysis and solutions based on feed and health data on the strength of its palatability and allergy data and veterinary nutrition expertise.
