Rhinobox (CEO Sangbeom Park), which operates the pet food health care platform app 'Saladpet', announced on the 18th that it is running the 'Share a Meal' food donation campaign together with the Dangjin City Animal Shelter.

Through its sample market service, Saladpet has listed only diets that meet nutritional standards selected by veterinarians and recommended products matched to each animal's health, drawing a positive response from users.

The donation campaign is built around a simple idea: buying healthy pet food for your own animal turns into a healthy gift for animals in shelters.

For one month from the 17th through February 17, each purchase in the Saladpet in-app market donates one meal pack of food (40 g). Guardians can also donate directly: for every 'donation-only meal pack' purchased, Saladpet matches two more, for a total of three packs donated.

Every animal whose guardian takes part receives an online donation certificate along with 3,000 points usable in the Saladpet market. Participants in the campaign's referral event can also win gift vouchers by draw.

The meal packs collected through user participation will be delivered to the Dangjin City Animal Shelter. A Saladpet representative said, "We planned this campaign so that the warmth Saladpet guardians feel toward animals reaches shelter animals as well. We will make sure the services we build serve abandoned animals too."

'Saladpet' was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' TIPS program and the fourth cohort of Google's Changgoo program in recognition of its business and technical capability. Founded by veterinarians, Saladpet is built on the 'nutrition-veterinary complex systems database (slp™ DB)' developed over several years, and analyzes companion animal health data collected on the platform to provide diet curation and nutrition care. Guardians can make decisions and manage nutritional balance, disease-specific recommendations, ingredient safety, food allergy analysis, recommended feeding amounts and nutrition checkups through the app without having to track each element separately. To date Saladpet has delivered roughly 900,000 tailored feed nutrition analyses to users.
